Event times & your time zone#

Times on event pages and the calendar are shown in your saved time zone when you are signed in.

  1. Open Account settings → Time zone.
  2. Choose Your time zone (or Use my device time zone).
  3. Check Current local time preview, then Save time zone.

If you have not saved a time zone yet, times may follow the site default and look “off” on your clock. Full steps: Account & profile — Time zone.

For live sessions, the banner also shows the exact Join unlock time in your zone — see Join online.

Find an event#

  1. Open Events in the main menu (events list), or use Events from My Dashboard Quick links when shown.
  2. Use the list or calendar to pick a day.
  3. Click the event title to open its page (time, place or Online badge, description, RSVP, and join controls).

Who can see an event#

Kind of event What it means for you
Public Guests and members can open the page
Members only You must be signed in
Invite-only / limited Only invited members get RSVP and Join

If the page says the event is limited to invited members, RSVP and Join stay unavailable for your account.

RSVP#

  1. On the event page, find the RSVP panel.
  2. Click Attending, Interested, or Can't attend.
  3. Confirm. The panel shows Your response and counts for each option.

Also note Closes / Closed if a registration deadline is shown.

When RSVP closes#

  • RSVP closes when the event starts (you may see RSVP is closed — this event is in progress.).
  • Organisers may set an earlier Registration closes time (Registration for this event has closed.).
  • If you see Sign in to RSVP, sign in first.
  • If you see You do not have permission to RSVP or RSVP is not available for this event, use Support.

Guest RSVP (public events)#

Some public events let guests RSVP without a full account:

  1. Choose Attending, Interested, or Can't attend.
  2. In Guest RSVP, enter Your name and Email (required); Phone is optional.
  3. Add a note only if the form asks for one.
  4. Click Save RSVP / Confirm - ….

Members can still Sign in to RSVP with their account instead.

Why RSVP matters for online Join#

Unless the organiser allows join without RSVP, only Attending or Interested unlocks Join while the session is live. Can't attend does not unlock Join. Details: Join online.

External tickets#

If the organiser uses an outside registration site, the event page may show Tickets. That opens their ticket or registration URL in a new tab.

Join while the event is live#

If the event is online:

  1. Stay on the event page (or reopen it from Events).
  2. When Join unlocks (at start, or a few minutes early if the organiser set early unlock), use the banner buttons — see Join online.
  3. After the event, check About this event for Watch recording if a recording was published.
